Andrea Lyman

“I have always loved creating beautiful things.  I made jewelry for years for my friends and myself and eventually people persuaded me to start selling it.  Each piece is a one-of-a-kind creation. I love collecting beautiful beads wherever I go on my many travels.  Most interesting to me are unusual, rare, vintage or handmade beads, or vintage buttons and other trinkets.  I love to play with the colors, shapes and textures of the materials until a piece begins to create itself, guiding my hands, thoughts and visions.  I also enjoy making beautiful art jewelry specifically for an individual and often do personal commissions.  My jewelry is wearable art and truly unique!  I hope they inspire a sense of wonder and awe, just as they do me!

My creativity has expanded out into other areas, as well. I also make hand-made art cards, sachets filled with several different botanicals, decorator pillows and large bags made from new and vintage textiles and trims, and a few other odds and ends.

I am also a member of the Northwest Sacred Music Chorale and its smaller select ensemble. I teach music at the Sandpoint Waldorf School and have about 15 private music students. I compose and arrange music and perform around the north Idaho area for various events.

I have lived in Sandpoint since 1987 and am an active member in both the local Arts Alliance and Pend Oreille Arts Council, showing my jewelry in their seasonal art shows throughout the year.”
