Jordan Henderson

Jordan Henderson began drawing as a young child and learning to do so from his father Steve Henderson and in recent years has been woodcarving. Jordan carves local woods and enjoys knowing from who and where he obtained each piece. He uses chisels and gouges for carving, and carves subjects that interest him ranging from wild and domestic animals to trees and characters from fairy tales: often doing numerous preliminary drawings and studies to design and become familiar with what he is going to carve. Walnut oil and sometimes shellac are used for finishing the woodcarvings.
