Judy lives and paints in Dayton, Washington. She believes that the practice of art encourages one to notice Nature’s beauty. Her watercolors and pastels have been inspired by landscapes in Utah, Montana, and Washington. She attempts to portray the sense of serenity she finds in the regions’ rivers and wild vegetation through her paintings.
She has been painting for many years, beginning with classes at the University of Utah. She grew up in Utah and has lived for several years in Montana and Washington. Her work has been accepted into numerous juried shows and she was recently the recipient of the Eastern Washington Watercolor Society Award in a juried show in Summer 2009.
Judy is presently a member of the Allied Arts Gallery in Richland, Washington and the Blue Mountain Artists Guild in Dayton, Washington. Her work may currently be seen in the Weinhard Cafe in Dayton, Washington, at the Wenaha Gallery in Dayton, Washington, and at Kelly’s Gallery on Main in Joseph, Oregon.
