Description
Abandoned (fine art canvas) by Howard Terpning
Settlers from the east were an unsettling circumstance for the land’s earlier inhabitants, and for this group of Crow Indians, an abandoned frontier cabin attracts their attention and their time.
“Who was here? And why did they leave?” The group takes a moment from its travels to inspect the remains of the homestead, and no doubt the copper pot will leave with them. From there, it is back to the work of the Crows, who sent parties of their warriors from their Eastern Montana base a far as the Rockies to hunt buffalo, raid neighboring tribes, and chase off settlers like the ones who started this home.
