Gold Falls (fine art print) by John Simpkins
“Gold Falls” is not a state; it is a state of mind. It is an imaginary place but it takes place during the gold rush in the late 1800s. It could be anywhere but it might be California since there is a California flag in the upper left. But this is a commemoration to mining everywhere so there is also an American, Canadian, British and Swedish flag.
The fireworks, water and gold bring the image together. There are people, animals, trees, stories and things to discover everywhere. The secret of the painting is that it is whatever you want it to be. Let your imagination flow. You can find whatever you would like in “Gold Falls.”
