Nectar of the Gods by Howard Terpning
In ancient Greek mythology, the gods drank ambrosia, a divine beverage said to confer longevity or immortality. Within the world of the Crow Indians, the Nectar of the Gods was a simpler concept, one so abundant that many would not see its significance.
In the middle of the 19th century, before the advent of white civilization upon the Yellowstone River, a Crow warrior stops for a drink in waters as pristine as they were at their creation, and their cold, clear purity give him the strength to ride on.
